Fresh-Cut Herb Bundle — Texas Garden, Cut That Morning We're ten acres out, where the days run sunny and the nights cool off just enough to keep things growing right. Basil, rosemary, thyme, sage, mint, lavender, oregano, parsley, and cilantro — snipped from the kitchen garden the morning you pick up, still warm from the Texas sun.
A loose bundle of three rotating herbs, cut fresh and tied with kitchen twine, no fuss to it. Our garden sits just a few steps off the front porch — because that's where you actually reach for herbs, not clear across the pasture. We don't cut ahead of time around here; we snip when you order, so the basil hasn't bruised and the rosemary still smells like the bush it came off of.
What's in the bundle moves with the season, same as everything else on this place. Summer heat means heavy basil, with chives and parsley riding along; once fall starts easing in, it tilts toward sage, oregano, and thyme. If something's putting on a good show — a flush of mint, a fennel frond worth keeping, a few sprigs of tarragon — we'll tuck it in too.
Stand the bundle stems-down in a glass of water on the counter (loose bag over the top if you want it to hold longer), or roll the herbs in a barely damp paper towel and tuck them in the fridge. Either way, use them within four or five days for the best flavor — Texas-grown herbs don't like to sit around any more than we do.
