Whatever the garden gives this week — eight to twelve pounds of mixed produce.
Each box is harvested the morning of your pickup, packed in the shade, and held in the cooler until you arrive. We don't pre-pack the night before because the difference between this morning and yesterday is the difference between a tomato that smells like a tomato and one that doesn't.
Contents shift with what's actually ready. In late spring expect arugula, radishes, and the first asparagus and pea shoots. Summer brings heirloom tomatoes, summer squash, peppers, eggplant, and basil. Fall fills the box with hard squash, leeks, kale, and the kind of carrots that taste better after a frost. Winter stays heavy on roots, brassicas, and storage greens. There's always a surprise — kohlrabi, garlic scapes, ground cherries, whatever the garden decided to do that week.
Every box gets a handwritten card listing what's inside and a recipe for whatever we think you might not know what to do with. If the box has more of one thing than you can use, swap with a neighbor — that's how the CSA half of our world works anyway.
Fresh goods are pickup-only — they don’t love a delivery van.
